How to Measure Your Ring Size at Home?
Use an Existing Ring
- Take a ring that fits your desired finger.
- Measure the inside diameter of the ring using a ruler.
- Match the measurement with our Ring Size Chart below.
Use a String or Paper
- Cut a strip of paper or use a string.
- Wrap it around the base of your finger. Ensure it’s snug but not too tight.
- Mark where the string or paper overlaps.
- Measure the length with a ruler (in millimeters).
- Use our Ring Size Chart to find your size.
What is Diameter?
The Diameter is the straight-line measurement across the inside of the ring. It’s the distance from one inner edge to the opposite inner edge, measured through the center of the ring. This is typically measured in millimeters (mm).
What is Circumference?
The Circumference is the total distance around the inner edge of the ring. It’s essentially the length of the inside circle of the ring and can also be measured in millimeters (mm).
How Do They Relate?
The Circumference can be calculated using the Diameter with this formula:
Circumference=Diameter×π (≈3.14)
For example:
If the Diameter is 16 mm, the Circumference is approximately 50.24 mm.
Note: Include a chart showing both Diameter and Circumference for common ring sizes to make it easier for users to find their size.
